Today

Today, ah, Friday and also a rare, sunny day.  What am I doing?  I’m enjoying the view of a partly sunny to cloudy sky from inside the library as I write with a view of the bus stop.

I have a confession:  I enjoy watching people run to make a bus.  It’s kind of like watching to see a person’s potentially good or bad moment.

It begins with seeing out of the corner of my eye a person running, at times at a fascinatingly quick pace considering they often are donning work clothing and shoes.

Will they triumph and succeed at boarding or will they sink their head low and walk away in defeat?

Okay, I know, I must get a life!  I just had to mention and get that out of my system and to hopefully humanize myself, I’ve been both the person awkwardly running to catch the bus and the one looked at sadly while missing the bus.  We all have these moments in life and  I’ve had an especially humbling week and so this post, I humbly dedicate to my wounded pride and self-esteem in hopes to lift my spirits and attempt at sounding more real than pathetic.

Pride comes before the fall and I fell flat on my face.  Growth stinks!
